The steirpen is great for organic material, but the inorganic material still needs to be filtered (mercury). It's a sad fact that nearly all water (yes, even in the wilderness) today is contaminated by pollutants. Studies now show that fresh water fish also contain dangerous levels of mercury. So, some sort of activated carbon filtering is still desired. Great vids by the way.

I respectfully diargsee. Creatively changing recipes brings new life to food in the kitchen. I understand where you're coming from, but food grows and changes as culture does.

I used to organize evyrhteing by writing notes and business ideas in spiral notebooks. I had about 30 different notebooks containing different things. For example: One notebook would be marketing strategies for the next few months. Another notebook would be lists of supplies and the quantities needed to reach my monthly sales goals. I set my own sales quotas for each month. The most important tasks that I needed to get done on a daily basis was written on post it notes that I'd have somewhere visible to me around my desk and computer. That always kept me on track. After some time, I started to use the computer to help keep me organized. Microsoft Word and Excel were used daily to create important lists and a way to keep close track of daily, monthly, and yearly sales. I have to admit that I also love to use notepad for almost anything I want to save that I can;t keep in my own memory, lol. If I go to a website and see something that sparks my creative juices and I start to get ideas of my own or if I just randomly think of a new idea, I create a notepad document for those creative ideas. I organize all of my documents in folders. It keeps evyrhteing neatly organized for me.I must admit, I also have a bad habit of bookmarking a zillion sites just so I can go back to something very important that I wanted to refer to at a later time if needed.

thank you!@Lauren: Totally agree. I've given up on produce from you-know-where, not only beucase of distance but also lack of flavor.@Paul: Many thanks! You have a gorgeous website which I'm very much looking forward to keeping up with.@Nicole: Thank you! I am the same with cauliflower. The funny thing is that I thought I didn't like it until a couple years ago. Now I can't get enough.@Jennie: Oh, thank you! Glad to hear it.And to all: My intent here is really to make it a conversation. There are so many great recipes out there, and so much to do with produce that I probably don't know about! Looking forward to seeing this develop and unfold.
